Recent races: St. George Marathon, Olympic Trials Marathon, Moab 5 miler.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run faster. I'd like to win a race or two. I want to smarter and harder and increase my mileage without increasing my injuries.

I'd also like to keep up with this and my other blog. You can check it out at novicexpert.blogspot.com. I don't keep track of my workouts there (just random thoughts on running), so the two don't really interfere.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to win at least one marathon, make a better showing at the next Olympic Trials, try a few ultra-marathons and finish a 100-miler.

Personal:

I lead a simple life. I teach a couple of times a week and run. A lot. I also climb and ski (both snow and water) whenever I get a chance.  I think I'm addicted to sunshine.

woke a bit early (5:50 instead of 6:30) to get a bit in before this assembly at good ol' bingham high.  all the past state champ teams were invited back to honor the school (though mostly the baseball program, which was undoubtedly good w/  19 state titles, but most of them occurred in the '30s and '40s and they've never won a national title or broken a national record like another team i know of). anyway, the morning run was lovely and cool though i am starting to get sick of those canal roads.

after the assembly i drove south (bluffdale? or the edge of riverton) and ditched my car for a while.  so very nice to run on diff canal roads. in fact, i ran a little long (i underestimate my miles) and was a few minutes late getting back to mtn crest for track, though that's also due to the fact that i got sleepy and had to pull over for a few minutes...safety first.

Hey Lisa, hope all is going well. Are you on an exotic island without internet access??? You are supposed to be doing enough miles for the two of us :)
