I want to run faster. I'd like to win a race or two. I want to smarter and harder and increase my mileage without increasing my injuries. I'd also like to keep up with this and my other blog. You can check it out at novicexpert.blogspot.com. I don't keep track of my workouts there (just random thoughts on running), so the two don't really interfere. Long-Term Running Goals: I want to win at least one marathon, make a better showing at the next Olympic Trials, try a few ultra-marathons and finish a 100-miler. Personal: I lead a simple life. I teach a couple of times a week and run. A lot. I also climb and ski (both snow and water) whenever I get a chance. I think I'm addicted to sunshine. |

| it hasn't stopped snowing all day. my eyelashes didn't have snowflakes on them but balls of ice caked, stringing across them. my eyebrows were those of a withering old man, white and larger than my dry eyebrows. one thing is fortunate, however, my hands were lovely and warm. somebody (allie?) had mentioned cold hands last weekend and loads of people have given advice on which gloves or mittens are the best. perhaps i live in a warm place compared to allie (don't remember where she was from. sorry), but my hands prefer not to have gloves on them. | Comments(1) |

| i am a blessed girl. i had goo with me and it really helped. i was pooped again (this is getting to be a pattern that i don't like) and it really helped. just at the right moment--thank heaven--it was like cruise control, painful cruise control, but it wasn't as hard to run that pace after it kicked in. but...good run. | Add Comment |

well, that's half a day's workout. will run more later and more tomorrow but i'm off to st george and i don't think we have wireless at the condo yet so i doubt i'll post again 'til tomorrow night. i expect that i'll run abou 100.
we're going down for a race. i'll run my sister's pace as i've got the moab half marathon next weekend and i don't want to have a hard time recovering from pushing hard this weekend (mostly i'm supersticious about a 10k and then half marathon two wks in a row). and i can't run a race not at full pace unless i'm purposely running with someone else and refuse to cross the finish line etc etc.
will also stop by the st george runnng center probably. wahoo! ran w. my sister later. super dehydrated. not good
